Festival Grounds and Logistics
Camp Ben McCulloch
Camp Ben McCulloch’s grounds are lovely, with plenty of big old shade trees, a gurgling creek and room for camping and jamming. Some of the best music is off-stage in sessions lasting till the wee hours. There is also a very nice, shady playground close to the pavilion.
Visit the Camp Ben website for more information.

About your garbage: Campers who have recycling at their residence are encouraged to take recyclables home with them; a bag will be furnished for use on site or to take trash home.
Sorry, No Dogs

NO DOGS ALLOWED except service animals.
You think the music is amazing at the Austin String Band Festival? Wait until you taste this year’s Texas-inspired cooking. Come hungry! We will have brisket, sausage, and pulled pork prepared by our local BBQ experts- Seth and Beki Laird. The Weber family and our trusty volunteers will offer up some of the best festival food in central Texas: frito pie, tex-mex, salads, soup, “blue plate specials”, and fresh sandwiches. Vegetarians and vegans are welcome at our table and we will do our best to accommodate food allergies. You can even bring your appetite for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll have bagels, muffins, made-to-order breakfast tacos and more. We also welcome back local coffee purveyor- David Alan - to provide us with local, organic, and fair trade coffee (both hot and iced) and fresh brewed ice tea throughout the weekend. In the Austin spirit, we use organic and local ingredients when available and prepare much of our food from scratch. The “mess hall” will be serving meals on Friday night, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning. We’ll have all the usual non-alcoholic beverages (sodas, water, juice) but remember that it’s BYOB (no glass).
