| 2. | EP | Approval of last month's minutes – PASSES |
| 3. | DR | Financial statement - $15,075. Future financial commitments are injury
and liability insurance; 4 days of dance, 4 days of festivals and 4 house
concerts = $540. ACTION – DR to email copy of insurance policy to AFTM Board Members. |
| 4. | DR | Inclement Weather Insurance is a very complicated issue. Insurance is about $250+. What is our budget for $15,000 - $20,000 worth of insurance? |
| TW | We should ask the company how much $10,000 worth would cost. ACTION – AW will ask Heather of the Celtic group about the weather insurance they have purchased in the past. DR is to continue working on this issue |

| 5. | EP | ASBF update. Sarah Weber has agreed to do the food for the festival. EP to do merchandise and auction. Pink Sounds’ prices for doing the sound are $1250 for Saturday and $500 for Friday for a total of $1750. Board voted and passed for Pink Sound to do the ASBF for their price. |
| JD | ASBF Band & Sound Budget: $2500 for Lounge Lizards, $500 for Wright
Family and $300 x 12 for the local bands. Total for bands would be $6600
and $1750 for the sound is a grand total of $8350. 2008 budget for bands
and callers was $7700. ACTION – DR to verify what band budget should be. |

| JD | Suggested for a Cajun band we invite Charles Thibodaux at the local band price. | |
| TW | We should advertise the festival in the Texas COOP Power magazine. ACTION – HR to check into how to advertise the festival in this magazine. |

| EP | Ask if HR could start an advertising campaign for the ASBF. ACTION – HR would be nice to add the musician list to the poster Sharon to get the word out to San Antonio. ACTION – JD to email the list of musicians to the Board |

| JD | Passed out a list of proposed Festival workshops. | |
| EP | Workshops look good. | |
| AW | Should we have vendors? All agree that vendors add variety to the festival. | |
| EP | They should be something appropriate for the attendees. Music theme stuff, jewelry, books. | |
| EP | We will do as In the past and only charge the vendors admission
to get in. ACTION – Elizabeth to coordinate the vendors but all the board members will assist with different vendors. |

| HR | Possible color for t-shirt - Olive green with a yellow logo. | |
| 6. | AW | Brought up the email from the Texas Music Commission. They want to
know our concerns about the music scene in Austin. ACTION – Tim to reply to the email. |
| 7. | TW | Proposed that we sponsor a concert for the Stairwell Sisters
while they are here in Texas for gig in Fischer, TX. Where should
the concert be? Fiddler’s Green or Blackerby’s are possibilities.
For the concert AFTM will make up monies to a $1,000 with a
maximum of $250. Admission charge should be $15 for the concert.
They will also do workshops. ACTION – Find a location of an appropriate size and cost. HR to contact Fiddler’s Green about the cut and the number of seats in their venue. |
| 8. | EP | Looking for an alternative location for Mid-Winter Festival ACTION – Elizabeth to call School for the Deaf. |
